STRATHMORE MUSIC CENTER
The Baltimore Symphony and Montgomery County, Bethesda, MD
A 2000-seat concert hall with a restaurant, donors’ lounge, reception lobbies, rehearsal rooms, music practice rooms, associated support spaces, and a community performing arts school was designed as an integral component of the historic grounds of the Strathmore Hall Arts Center. The facility will serve as the second home of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, as a touring venue for popular musical artists and dance groups, and as the main home for Montgomery County community and youth orchestras. (Alan Joslin, as a Principal-in-Charge of Design with William Rawn Associates, Architects)

“It is in many ways a beautiful building, the new Music Center at Strathmore, a treat for the eyes and other senses, also for the mind.”
